What is Radio Jockey?
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia defines RADIO JOCKEY or RJ as a person who hosts a radio talk show, where RJ selects the music to be played by interacting with the audience via telephone.

Radio Jockey Skill sets

Love for music as RJ’s are known by their voice

You should have ample knowledge of all type of music/movies, its history

Need to have a good, pleasant voice and diction

RJ must be talkative in nature and love to interact with people of all sections; irrespective of their age, religion, region, language, sex, qualification

You should be able to attract audience with your voice. People should feel like you are speaking face to face with them

Must have good communication skills, sense of humor, creativity, be spontaneous

Need to be familiar with equipments like CD player, computer, sound mixer

Need to play music to entertain your listener

Interviewing guests and celebrities on radio

Should be able to present and discuss any topic in different ways to attract audience and do general discussion with them

Eligibility
As Radio Jockey is not a conventional job, there is no requirement of higher qualification.
As it is a talent based job, you need to be at least graduates. But in some cases 10+2 is acceptable. You should not be 35+

Swine Flu and Rainfall

India is facing drought like situation all over the country. Pune is not left behind. This time there is a water scarcity and we hear imposition of 30% water cut. To further add fuel to fire, there is wide spread of Swine Flu. Pune became Swine flu capital of India.

But on Tuesday 18th August, Pune was blessed with good rainfall. First think came to my mind “no water cut”. I was able to see Wednesday’s headlines “No Water Cut”. I was happy and enjoyed cool breeze & rain. Swine flu was deleted from my memory.

After enjoying rain, while on the way towards home, suddenly words of expert panelist and newspaper articles that used to educate us regarding Swine flu came back to my mind. I read Swine flu is active in cool atmosphere. Just like ‘Jaadu’ of Koi Mil Gaya is active in sunlight, Swine flu is active till 30°c. So now I am thinking what effect Tuesday’s rain is going to have on us with respect to Swine flu. I don’t know how I should react to Tuesday’s rain. What you say friends?

Chess in Ahmedabad Schools to boost IQ

With reference to TOI dated 08-08-09, I learnt Gujarat Government came up with an idea of introducing new subject “CHESS”. Intially this will be included in the schools curriculum for Ahmedabad district. Modi Government said that if this idea brings any fruit, they would implement it all over Gujarat. I really liked this idea. By bringing this kind of subjects, students stress level will also decrease and they will be able to think logically and their memory power will also increase.

Who knows by such initiative India may get another grandmaster Viswanathan Anand. I hope and wish, if this initiative brings some result, we should have this kind of strategies in all schools of India. What you say friends?

Gone are the days when carpenter or contractor used to design our office/home. Nowadays we need Interior designer everywhere. Like designing residential projects such as kitchen, bathroom; commercial projects such as hotels, office, showrooms and the list goes on. Designer must be able to arrange furniture, identify fabrics, choose type & color of paint, tiles and curtains which suits the environment. Designer must give couple of options to client and client can choose from the provided options. But important thing to take into consideration is budget and safety norms. In short designer must be able to provide beautiful, comfortable, aesthetically pleasant and functional environment and satisfy client.

Skill Sets of Interior Designer

For bright career in Interior Design you must be creative, imaginative and have artistic capability

Color sense and an idea of lighting & decoration is required

Must be able to design the project taking space constraint into consideration

Presenting ideas in 2D or 3D model helps in presenting concept (CAD knowledge helps here)

Knowledge about various types materials and their safety norms used in projects

Must be able to work with different types of clients and understand their psychology, attitude, culture and lifestyle

Able to coordinate with builder, contractor, carpenter, electrician, plumber and others
